Gary Sosniecki joins TownNews.com

Gary Sosniecki, who has owned three weekly newspapers and published a small daily in Missouri during a 34-year career, has joined TownNews.com as a regional sales manager. He will be handling a new product designed for small newspapers that don’t have their own websites.
Sosniecki, with his wife, Helen, owned The Vandalia Leader from 2003 to 2007. He was president of the Missouri Press Association in 2004.
Sosniecki will be introducing newspapers to Silver Lite, a state-of-the-art website that even the smallest newspapers can use to make a profit from the internet.
TownNews.com, based in Moline, Ill., has been an exhibitor at MPA’s Trade Show for several years. It is majority owned by Lee Enterprises, publisher of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch and the Suburban Journals. TownNews.com hosts more than 1,600 online publications and offers a wide variety of products and services to U.S. newspapers.
