It includes over 250 companies and represents approximately 7,000 industry professionals. According to the MITX website, “The MITX Award is the largest and most prestigious awards competition in the country for interactive and web innovations and celebrates the best creative and technological accomplishments emerging in New England”.
Other finalists in the same category included Lycos, Tributes and a joint venture between TripAdvisor and Facebook. The awards ceremony was held November 19th, in Boston, MA and attracted approximately 1,100 attendees. Winner in the Web 2.0 and Social Networking category was the joint project between TripAdvisor and Facebook.  iMarc, the web developer for PAGE, reminded PAGE that “even just being selected as a finalist is really saying something”.
