Post-Dispatch Sunday circulation grows

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported a 1.7 percent increase in its Sunday circulation to 414,564 for the six-month period ended March 31. That was the highest gain among the largest newspapers in the country, according to Editor & Publisher magazine.
The paper’s Monday through Friday circulation dropped 8.6 percent to 255,057, according to the Audit Bureau of Circulations. Every other paper in the top 20 lost daily circulation, except for USA Today and The Wall Street Journal, which had slight gains.
Newspaper websites continue to attract more readers, which has more than made up for the newspapers’ lost readers, publishers report.
