A collection of photographs illustrating the destructive power of 2007’s Greensburg, KS tornado will go on display soon in Kansas City, Mo. — almost a year to the day after the storm.

“Greensburg After Nature’s EF-5,” which opens May 2 at Studio 2131 in Kansas City, includes the work of photojournalists from Kansas and Missouri. The photographs and exhibit were assembled by Cort Anderson, KPA’s technology consultant.

The exhibit is designed to show through the eyes of news photographers how the people of Kansas dealt with the aftermath of the May 4, 2007 storm.

The exhibit is sponsored by the Kansas Press Association and will be open through June in Kansas City and then start a tour around the state.

Studio 2131 is located at 2131 Washington Street in Kansas City, Mo.
